spacerWriting the Schemes of Work

In order to write the schemes of work it is important to rely on teacher expertise and knowledge. Teachers are invited to write the units for the subjects in which they are professionally involved and currently teaching their schools. It is assumed that all teachers will be writing the units to this format as part of their normal professional practice.

Teachers who wish to submit written units can do so on a voluntary basis and once the units have been successfully moderated they will be filtered for publication.

Should there be more than one entry for the same unity the moderation committee would select the most appropriate that has the most exciting teaching ideas and that meet all of the criteria presented in the Schemes of Work Writing guidelines.

In each unit there are three sections working to a common set of subject objectives. Each section is for students within the ability range:

  1. Attainment Level 1 to Attainment Level 4
  2. Attainment Level 4 to Attainment Level 7
  3. Attainment Level 7 to National Descriptor 2

If you wish to contribute to the Schemes of Work in a subject of your choice please click on one of the subjects as displayed on the left side of the page. When submitting your interest in working on a particular unit, this needs to be completed and sent within one month from the submission date.
